How do I submit my document for editing?

Documents may be submitted via attachment to email or in hard copy through regular mail. See our contact us page for contact information and more details.

What format should my document be in?

Documents submited via e-mail may be in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, or HTML. Documents will be returned in MS Word unless otherwise requested. Hard copy documents should be at least 12-pt. font and preferably double-spaced.

  How are corrections made?

Corrections are made using MS Word's Track Changes function, which allows you to easily see our comments and suggestions and gives you the option of accepting or rejecting those suggestions. Corrections on hard copy documents will be made directly on the document. We will provide a key to all copyediting symbols used.

What is the difference between proofreading and copyediting?

Our proofreading service provides a word by word check for errors in punctuation, spelling, grammar, and word usage. Minor changes in word usage may be suggested. Copyediting is a more detailed process that includes proofreading as well as suggestions to improve sentence structure, organization, accuracy, etc.

Please see our services page for a detailed explanation.

  How long will it take?

Documents are returned within 2-3 business days. Documents longer than 25 pages may require additional time. Typically allow one day per 25-30 pages.

  How do I pay?

Pay instantly and securely online using any major credit card or PayPal through the PayPal system. Please see our pricing guide for payment details.

  When do I pay?

Pay nothing now! We will send you an invoice once editing is complete.
